Union Minister Rao Saheb Danve said on Friday that it is not true that when the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was going to meet the family of Hathras victim, the police in Uttar Pradesh pushed him. He said that he had collapsed due to the bashing of the crowd. BJP leaders were talking to reporters outside their residence here.

 

Danve said, “It is not true that the police pushed the Congress leader. He collapsed due to mob bust. “Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution said,” In television and social media videos it appears that Gandhi fell because of the mob and not the police pushed him. ”

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were going to Hathras to meet the victim’s family on Thursday when they were stopped at Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida.

The police tried to stop him and his supporters after which he collapsed in the struggle. The party shared pictures of the incident and accused the police of misconduct.
