BEST JUICERS – REVIEWS

1. Aicok Juicer

Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides

Starting off at number 1 we have the Aicok JuicerAicok juicer is a perfect gateway into the world of juicing. Simple to set up, use, and clean, this juicer goes about its job with little fuss. Despite a price point that undercuts most other masticating juicers, this product provides comparable yields to the more expensive appliances on the market.

Compact in design, this juicer is ideal for small kitchens or people with limited space on their worktops. Although this means having to dice your fruit and vegetables into more manageable sizes, the appliance comfortably handles “harder” materials such as carrots and ginger.

Built with a two-second delay for safety, there are no sharp edges or blades in this juicer making it perfect for all of the family. The Juicer features unique Low-Speed Masticating Technology enables higher nutritional value for keeping the healthy enzymes in the juice.

Also, the heavy-duty Juicing Screw is made using PMMA, non-toxic and environmentally friendly materials. The Aicok machine features a Reverse Function too, to use this you simply press the R button which reverses the juicer and prevents clogging.

The Aicok Slow Juicer is one of the top quality juicers in the products lineup today. It’s the perfect choice for the health-conscious people who like a larger variety in their juicing habit. The technology and operating system in the Aicok Slow Masticating Juicer Extractor prevents oxidation, heat build-up and provides healthy juices.

Alongside getting an amazing juicer you also receive 3 years warranty should there be any issues with your Aicok appliance. In an age when many “healthy” fruit juices on the market have become misleading and full of added sugars and flavorings, making your own juice is the only way to ensure maximum nutrition.

For anyone wanting to make instant improvements to their lifestyle, juicing is a path that can lead you directly there. Providing a simple and effective addition to your daily routine, a masticating juicer is a guaranteed way to improve your diet with more fruit and leafy greens.

2. Omega NC900HDC Juicer

Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides
Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides

At number 2 we have the Omega NC900HDC Juicer. Working at about 80 rpm, the NC900HDC belongs to the category of slow juicers. Unlike fast juicers that spin at more than 10,000 rpm to extract juice, this machine does the job with an auger turning and squeezing the fruits/veggies against the chamber wall.

This minimizes exposure of the juice to the air, thus preventing oxidation of the nutrients in it. Plus, with a slow speed, you don’t have to worry about the little enzymic biological molecules being “boiled up” by the heat from the motor and destroyed.Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides

If you’ve been watching videos comparing between a horizontal masticator and a centrifuge, you will notice that the slow juicer always makes a thicker juice with a more vibrant color that is closer to that of what you feed it with. It makes far less foam and froth, and the juice can be stored for much longer (72 hours)compared to fast juices.

Not only thick and firm produce like apples or carrots, or more fibrous leaves like kale, cabbage, or celery, the NC900HDC would take even the thinnest of leaves like spinach or dandelion. Its strong squeeze takes every single drop of nutritious liquid out of your veggies, leaving only fiber to the pulp. This is the reason why it also takes the first position in our list of the best juicers for leafy veggies.

The machine produces surprisingly tasty juices from slightly mushy fruits like grapes or tomatoes too. The secret? A simple knob that allows you to adjust the pressure with which the produce is squeezed. Settings 1 to 3 gives the perfect grind to the watery fruits, while settings 4 and 5offer that strong press that allows you to make the most out of harder vegs and fruits like carrot, ginger, or wheatgrass.

It also comes with 2 different screens, one coarse and one fine, allowing you to choose between having a more fibrous drink, or a quick boost of energy and vitamins. Its versatility doesn’t end there. Coming with several different accessories, the machine can make nut butter and nut milk, mince herbs, and produce fresh pasta and noodles like a pro. It really stands to its name of a “Nutrition Center”!Typical of most slow juicers, the NC900HDC is slow.

It takes a couple minutes to make a full cup of juice, which puts it at a disadvantage when compared to centrifuges which can serve you a drink every 30 seconds.

However, considering that it’s the compensation for healthier, more nutritious juices, the2 minute wait is not exactly a deal-breaker. Plus, since the juice is cold-pressed and is exposed to very minimal oxidation, it can be stored up to 72 hours in the fridge.

That means you can actually save more time than using a fast juicer since the juices made with fast machines typically degrade within a couple hours after they’re made. Plus, there’s one thing about the NC900HDC that also distinguishes it from other juicer models: the enlarged feeding chute. You still can’t drop a whole carrot or apple in it, but at least you won’t have to chop everything into the size of a baby carrot-like with other machines. That’s definitely a lot of prepping time saved in the long run.

3. Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus

Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides
Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides

At number 3 we have the Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain PlusThe Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus offers the most value for your money. Not only is it of excellent quality, but it’s also relatively inexpensive, at least compared to some of the other juicers you can buy.

The Breville Juice Fountain Plus is a centrifugal juicer with a number of great features. It’s easy to assemble and disassemble, which makes cleanup a breeze. Most of the parts are even dishwasher-safe, so you won’t need to worry about washing the components by hand.

True to its name of a fast juicer, the machine is designed for people who don’t have much time to spend.

The juicer has a big 3-inch “mouth” for larger pieces of fruit, and in many cases, you’ll be able to fit an entire fruit or vegetable in there without having to cut it up at all. That cuts down on prep time and ensures you won’t have to dirty up knives and cutting boards to make some juice.

I do cut my apples and carrots into halves and quarters so it’s easier on the machine, but technically you can just throw a whole Gala in and the beast will take care of it.

The motor inside the juicer is 850-watt, and the device comes with a liter jug, a froth separator, and a cleaning brush.

With the 850 watt motor and super sharp blades on its stainless steel disc, the JE98XL can handle the toughest materials. To ensure that it squeezes all the juice out of your fruits and vegetables, the Breville Juice Fountain Plus has low and high speeds.

On the high-speed mode (12,000 rpm), it extracts the juice out of the hardest fruits/veggies, from apples and carrots to tough roots like ginger or turmeric. The low-speed setting, meanwhile, reduces oxidation when you juice softer, succulent materials like cucumber or cherries.

You can kick it up a notch if the juicer is having a particularly hard time getting through some of the fruits and vegetables you’re throwing at it.

The juicer has a one-year warranty. Good Housekeeping says this juicer is “as good as it gets” without having to spend a fortune, though the Breville isn’t as adept at juicing greens like kale.

Juicer Fanatics says that it’s one of the best juicers for beginners. The Wirecutter agrees that the juicer is fast and does the job passably well — so long as there aren’t greens involved — but warns that it’s noisy and you could get better buy spending a bit more.

Regardless, we think it’s the best juicer for most people because it’s adept at squeezing the juice out of most fruits and vegetables without any problems and it’s relatively affordable for a juicer of this caliber.

Unlike most masticators, the JE98XL is a really easy-going pal. It hardly ever gets clogged, and when it does, a light press on the plunger is enough to send it going again.

The juicing part is extremely fast. It typically takes less than a minute to make a full cup of juice, even if you don’t push the plunger down the chute to force it.

This is not a machine to get bored with – it gives you your juicy drink before your mind can start wandering elsewhere. There are two things about the juicer that I thought you’d need to know before committing to it-

First, the machine is loud. Working at a speed 6500 to 12000 rpm on a plastic shell, it creates about as much noise as a typical blender. You can’t talk while using it, and people will hear it from next door. Definitely not something you will want to use in the early morning.

Second, the thing is not of much use with leafy greens. While its blade chamber is super effective for firm fruits and veggies like carrots or apples, it doesn’t work that well on separated thin leaves.

It spins and sends most of the leaves into the pulp collector before even shredding them. You can create some juice by packing the leaves together, but it still wastes too much of the veggies to consider it worth the effort.

Then there are worries about the high speed destroying the enzymes and antioxidants with heat and exposure to the air. The theory makes sense, but there are no solid studies to prove it yet, so I’ll give it the benefits of the doubt for now.

All in all, the JE98XL does a decent job at making fruit and firm veggie juices at an incredibly fast speed. It’s loud and is not the best for leafy greens, but it’s also very affordable.

If you’re new to juicing and want a basic, affordable machine to test the water with, we’d highly recommend this one.

4. Tribest GSE-5050 Greenstar Elite Cold Press

Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides
At number 4 we have the Tribest GSE-5050 Greenstar Elite Cold PressYou can already see a lot of juice coming out as the product travels through the first stage. The machine doesn’t stop there: it continues to mix the ingredients up and squeeze the pulp for the very last drops of juice. With strong and thoroughly designed gears, the Greenstar Elite is a far cry from other juicers.

Its stainless steel teeth make the auger on masticators look lame and weak. Its only real rival is probably the Super Angel, which costs double or 3 times more. With pocket recesses in its teeth, the Elite is highly efficient in juicing tough materials like ginger or carrot.

It also fiberizes leafy greens, from kale, cabbage, dandelion to spinach effortlessly. The icing on the cake is that despite producing a super-dense juice, the machine allows VERY LITTLE pulp in the juice. It comes with a strain, but you hardly ever have to use it.

The gears do a fabulous job breaking into the smallest particles of the fresh veggies, turning it into a nutrient-dense liquid ready for immediate absorption. If you prefer more pulp, however, there’s a coarse screen coming with the package. This screen is also extremely useful when you make juices from mushy fruits like orange, grapes, or kiwi, which tend to clog the fine screen up within a couple minutes.

When juicing the soft, mushy fruits, remember to loosen the knob to reduce pressure. If you juice them a lot, consider getting a separate knob for it. The Tribest Greenstar Elite is one of the more affordable twin gear juicers on the market. However, compared to a single-gear masticator or a centrifugal machine, it is still quite a big investment. To support the heavy-duty gears, the machine comes with a bulky, heavy body. On the bright side, it never tips forward like the Super Angel tends to do when you press the plunger.

The downside is, however, that it takes up quite a bit of space. It’s not the kind you can put into the utensil drawer. It’s large and takes time to care for. Cleaning typically lasts seven to twelve minutes. It’s a bit more complicated than washing a centrifuge or a single gear masticating juicer – you’ll need to pay extra attention to the gears to make sure they’re always kept sharp and rust-free.

Those are reasons why the Greenstar Elite is not for the juicing noob – it requires quite some commitment. If boiling an egg is too much work for you, don’t even bother getting this machine. Rather, the machine is for individuals with a strong determination to make healthy juices a part of their diet for the long term. It can sometimes also serve in a small juice bar.

5. Black & Decker JE2200B

Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides

Next, we have the best juicer on a budget that goes to the Black & Decker JE2200B. If you’re looking to get into juicing, but don’t necessarily have a big budget, you may want to consider the Black & Decker JE2200B.

That’s not bad at all, especially considering the fact that this juicer is still pretty effective. The juicer offers stainless steel cutters and strainers, which are durable, so the juicer should last a good amount of time without breaking.

On top of that, it has a 400-watt motor and a relatively large, integrated pulp container. Of course, it’s important to note that this is an entry-level model, so it is lacking in some features. For example, it only has two settings – “on” and “off ” — so it’ll either juice what you put in there, or it won’t.

It’s also a little loud, and according to some reviews, it can get messy. In general, this is best for those just getting into juicing and who don’t necessarily know if it’ll be a long-term investment for them.

Good Housekeeping recommends it only for making carrot juice and warns that it has trouble with greens and apples, but the site still gave it three stars because it’s very easy to use and super cheap.

It’s relatively well-loved for such an inexpensive item, with almost a 4-star average on Amazon, which isn’t bad at all.

6. Hamilton Beach 67650A

Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides

Up next we have the best juicer for whole fruits or vegetables which goes to the Hamilton Beach 67650ALooking for a juicer that doesn’t require you to cut up your fruit into bits and pieces first? The Hamilton Beach 67650A Big Mouth Pro might be the right juicer for you.

This juicer, as the name implies, has a mouth that measures an extra-wide 3-inch mouth, which should be enough for many fruits and vegetables to go in a whole.

The advantages to this juicer don’t stop at the big mouth. It also offers a stainless steel cutter and strainer that are dishwasher-safe, and according to Hamilton Beach, it’s able to make up to 24 percent more juice than competitors.

The juicer is also pretty powerful, boasting a hefty 800-watt motor, and it has a large pulp catcher, so you can juice a lot of fruit before having to replace the catcher.

There are some disadvantages to consider. For example, the Big Mouth Pro is relatively noisy, and the juice jug is relatively small, coming in at 20 ounces. The juice also oxidizes relatively fast because of the fact that the motor sucks in a lot of air.

However, most reviewers agree that for a juicer that costs quite a bit, the Hamilton Beach 67650A Big Mouth Pro is a great deal.

CNET gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars and was impressed by how well it handled kale and other tough fruits and vegetables for a juicer in its price range.

7.  Omega NC800HDR Nutrition System

Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying GuidesBest Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides

Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides

Next up we have the best versatile juicer which goes to the Omega NC800HDR Nutrition System. If you’re the kind of person who wants to get a lot out of one appliance, look no further than the Omega NC800HDR Nutrition System Juicer.

It may be pricier than the Breville juicer, but the trade-off is that it’s much more powerful and versatile. It goes far beyond juicing with the help of many different attachments.

The Omega juicer can even extrude vegetable noodles and home-made pasta, grind nuts, chop things up, or make frozen desserts and baby food.

The motor produces the equivalent of two horsepower and runs at low speeds of 80 RPM to get the most juice out of your produce. We tested the Omega juicer in our kitchen to see how it fared against all sorts of vegetables and fruits, including everything from carrots and beets to apples and pineapple.

No matter what we fed into the juicer, it produced a ton of juice with very little effort. The pulp collected quickly in one bin, while juice mounted up in the other. This juicer is very easy to use, even for a novice. We got a lot of carrot juice out of a standard bag of carrots and a good amount of apple juice out of half a dozen apples.

It’s a masticating juicer, so it’s much more adept than centrifugal juicers at getting the most juice out of your produce. We also tried out the other functions and attachments to make veggie noodles and grind some carrots.

Best of all, the Omega NC800 is well-built and easy to use. When it comes time to clean it, the juicer comes apart very easily and the parts are dishwasher-safe. I don’t have a dishwasher, so I scrubbed each component by hand after juicing, and it only took a matter of minutes.

Omega includes a cleaning brush in the box so you can get all the little food particles off of the filters and other pieces. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to clean.

The only downsides here are the price tag and the amount of space it takes up on your counter. However, if you want a versatile, high-powered juicer that can do more than produce juice, this is the one we’d recommend.

8. Breville 800CPXL Citrus Press.

Best Juicers For Beginners - Reviews and Buying Guides

For our last pick, we have the best juicer for citrus which goes to the Breville 800CPXL Citrus Press. Looking for a juicer specifically for orange and lemon juice? You may not need to get a full-on juicer. Instead, a citrus press might work perfectly well.

The Breville 800CPXL is one of the best looking and most effective ones you can buy. The entire device is made from professional-grade stainless steel, and it has a quiet motor, so you’ll be able to get as much juice as possible out of your fruit.

The device also offers what Breville is touting a “revolutionary” arm system, so it should be pretty easy to use, too. It’s also easy to clean because the press boasts dishwasher-safe parts, so you won’t need to worry about hand-washing all the components.

If one of those components breaks, you’ll also be covered by the one-year warranty.

There are some downsides to consider. For example, to buy a Breville 800CPXL you’ll have to pay more. You’ll also need to do some work to get the fruit juiced, so that’s another thing to keep in mind before you buy.
